Design proudly presents Dub Trees - Nature never did betray
the heart that loved her, the first new material from seminal producer and
musician Youth who has garnered a reputation as one of the most eclectic diverse and brilliant
producers to emerge in recent years.
Youth has always been a true innovator, who else could claim to
have founded the seminal band Killing Joke at the age of 18, pre-empt the whole early eighties
pop phenomena with Jimmy Cauty in Brilliant, discover the genre defining eccentricities
of The Orb, be nominated for a Brit Award four times and win in 1998, run one of
the worlds most
respected trance labels - Dragonfly Records and still have time
produce The Verves triumphant seven million selling Urban Hymns.
In between his
myriad schedule Youth has spent the last year carefully crafting
this deeply personal album of exquisite dub laden grooves and cites it as some
of my best work to date. Youth has always gained huge inspiration from the dub
sounds of King Tubby, Augustus Pablo, Lee Perry and Bunny Lee and this album is his personal
homage, eleven
superbly produced tracks that will undoubtedly become a classic
in its genre.
Buffalo
and Return of the Native will be remixed and released
as a 12 early next year.
